Laura Hilton Hallmon

Ms. Hallmon started with the Fielding firm as an associate attorney in March of 1999, becoming a partner in January of 2005. While in law school, Ms. Hallmon clerked for the Civil Division of the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, the law firm of Fielding, Barrett & Taylor, L.L.P., the Child Support Enforcement Division of the Office of the Attorney General, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas and the 213th Judicial District Court of Tarrant County.  

Ms. Hallmon is a 1996 graduate of Baylor University and received her Juris Doctor degree from Baylor University School of Law in 1999. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in May of 1999. Ms. Hallmon is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

She was an Associate Member of the Eldon B. Mahon American Inn of Court in 2002-2003 and served on the Tarrant County National Adoption Day Committee from 2002-2004.

Ms. Hallmon has been a member of the American and Tarrant County Bar Associations since 1999, serving on the Board of Officers for the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Tarrant County Bar Association from 2002-2006 (as Section Chair from 2005-2006), and the Board of Officers for the Women's Section of the Tarrant County Bar Association since 2001 (as Section Chair from 2005-2006). She is also a member of the 2007-2008 class of Leadership Fort Worth and a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Ms. Hallmon was named a "Top Attorney" in the December 2008 issue of Fort Worth, Texas magazine in its "Tarrant County's 'Top Attorneys'" feature.

Ms. Hallmon concentrates her practice in the prosecution and defense of a variety of state and federal employment law matters including civil rights law, labor/management relations, federal sector employment law, wage and hour law and the law of restrictive covenants prohibiting competition.
